Public Speaking

Are you looking for a dynamic motivational speaker for your next event? Someone to not only speak to your audience, but inspire and empower them with tools to grow into their best selves? I can create an interactive therapeutic workshop to fit your requirements and address the needs of your participants. Topics are as far and wide ranging as; teamwork & cooperation, learning to gain control over the nervous system, the importance of intention setting & commitment, being adaptable to change, having faith, practicing kindness, energy centres & how to identify and release blockages, practicing acceptance and clarity, and much more. These are skills steeped in yogic traditions, but they are life skills valuable in any environment.
DH presenting action VikkiStarkMy workshops leave participants with therapeutic yoga tools that they can take home with them, and use to manage their symptoms of stress and anxiety. No previous yoga experience is necessary.
Whether you’re looking to offer a program for your employees, or organizing a special event or conference, my interactive sessions have helped teach hundreds of people the skills  to manage any existing symptoms, and go forward living healthier, more balanced lives.

Dorit

“Dorit Hood is that rare combination of being both deeply empathetic and also refreshingly professional in her work. She presented a workshop at a retreat I hosted and provided the women with hands-on strategies to help with anxiety following marital abandonment. She tuned in to the concerns of the participants and was able to offer them exactly what they needed.  Her workshop was very much appreciated!”  Vikki Stark, Psychotherapist, Sedona Counselling Centre.

Past client Carrie Mazoff of “Seeing Things My Way”, a Centre for Innovation in Autism & Intellectual Disabilities supported by the Miriam Foundation.“We just love the opportunity to step away from the intensity of our busy days, and take time to breathe. Dorit has such a lovely way of keeping us sane!”
